Joined Ecology club in Quito !!

Here I told the group members about our Maitree Ecology Club in Mumbai and how we operate .The issues they face are the same faced by us in INDIA eg. people appreciate ur work and they dont show up next time but Ecology club members here keep their spirits up like us.

Then we went to a Water musuem with the school kids (Age 7 -15) .They taught them how they(Ecuadorian Authorities) purify water and how the people can conserve it. In the musuem there were photographs and maps of the areas around quito depicting mountains, rivers and volcanos.

After the event i left the downtown Quito with Emma(Maitree HR) and Carlos. Then i got the taste of local people hospitality when they invited me for lunch at LCR near J W Marriot. Carlos Mother, an Ecology club Scout, asked me a lot of questions about India eg. the Scout movement, Mogli series, Local food and our culture etc.

It was a day that i will remember forever and it makes me remind of the lines "Athithi Devo Bhava". I think this is followed in many parts of the world.

The only bad thing in the day was that I have to go office and for locals here , working on weekends is no less than a crime :((
