Anonymous Thoughts

One day I woke up amid the deafening sound of thunder . I got off my bed to check my family members but I could not see anything because of the darkness in the room. Suddenly a lightning came out of the clouds and my room got filled with its light. Then I realized that I was not in my home.

Where  was I? Oh I forget! I just changed my city.

I was somewhere else. I was in Mumbai.

Today's topic is regarding the phenomenon of city change. This phenomenon will definitely come into the life of most of the IT engineers.

But its easier said than done. It takes a lot of effort and time to settle into new environment.

So when you arrive in a new city, there were many things that need to be done.

**
Biggest problem of them was to find a place to live. I started with calling many agents and some new friends.
In this process of calling, you will learn many new words of their dialect.

Like the Gujarati agents will say  " kem cho ? tumhara naam su chee ?"
It means how are you and whats your name? and you can just reply " Can we talk in English " as we are not sure of their Hindi speaking abilities.

Then comes the exam time as agents will ask you hundreds of questions as
Where you come from?
Where you work ?
What your parents do?
With whom you are going to live?
Do u drink ?
You are vegetarian or non veg?

Sometimes we feel like that they are not renting their apartment to us but were going to live with us in the same apartment.

**
So after I got settled in my new place, its time to get down to work and understand the complex office human network. The office human network is like finding the ports of  fiber optic cables as you can't easily tell which cable is connected to which port and who is the real server (I mean the real boss).

**
The last leg to settlement was to find groceries shops to buy food and vegetables for your daily needs.
Every day you will add more words into your vocabulary  as in Mumbai  Potato is  called as  "BATATA", onion is called as "KANDA", lady finger is "OKRA" etc etc.

**
This kind of relocation gives us a different kind of experience as we become more independent, manage your life and learn from every day experiences.
We can enjoy the different cuisines of India, travel to new places and know more about heritage of India.

Boys and girls enjoy their freedom in different ways. Most of the boys find new places to hangout, to drink and some of us will learn cooking also. Offcourse after cooking, we will never forget to upload pictures of what we have cooked today and we feel very proud on whatever we have cooked.

For girls, I think the best part of this freedom is that they can do shopping in new places, without anyone controlling them. As far as I know, they just love it.

*
The other side of story is that you miss your family and childhood friends.
We always keep checking possible vacation days and travel tickets availability.

But I feel that every city and people living there have given something to me.

One city gave me the habit of eating different cuisines and other one has taught me to be more positive in life. Everybody has different experiences.

Many of you must have heard a quote -
“A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.”

I think our lives are like ships. If we stay at harbor or in our city, then we always be safe as we are cocooned with our well-wishers.

I want you all think about those moments or experiences as they rarely come back.

Thought for the day.

We always think running is difficult but stopping is not easy either.

हुमे लगता है जिंदगी मे भागना बुहात मुस्किल है पर रुकना भी आसान नही है

By chance

Meaning of By Chance (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/by+chance)
a.       The unknown and unpredictable element in happenings that seems to have no assignable cause.
b.      A favorable set of circumstances; an opportunity.
c.       To find or meet accidentally; happen upon.
d.      Without plan; accidentally.

Even after you have read the meaning of this word, it’s highly ambiguous. As for things to happen, you have to do some efforts. You can’t sit at home and expect amazing things to happen in your life. You have to go out, try random/different things, encourage yourself for new experiences and you should have that young spirit in your heart for it to happen. When you think and do these things, life gives you many beautiful things, you meet great people and have experiences BY CHANCE.

Even if you get something bad out of it, it will help you some day for sure.I understood the meaning of this word from my group of buddies in college. They taught me how to live unpredictably and I will always be glad that I did that. Like a Phoenix, we have to burn our patterned lives many times for a new beginning.
Points a, b, c and d happens in everybody’s life but only few of us understand the meaning of it and are ready to pursue it. We have our own fears, inhibitions for the new beginnings as they are always difficult/painful/unpredictable. For me the best way to explore, is by meeting different people, from different work backgrounds, cultures etc .  So that I could know what beautiful experiences I am missing in my life.
Everybody has its own way of thinking but I can only share the experiences and views I have.
I will love to hear your stories/experiences/views. You can write to me also ravishsehgal1985@gmail.com.
Have a happy and a wonderful day.

Alarms in Mobile

Some old alarms in my mobile will always keep ringing so that I never forget, what I had once forgotten.
